The Avalanche: How to Reach Iranians When the Internet Is Cut
Regimes do not fall because soldiers stop believing. They fall because soldiers learn that other soldiers have already stopped believing. The first defection is an act of courage. The thousandth is arithmetic.
This is the avalanche dynamic — and it is happening right now inside Iran. Over 60 confirmed defection and desertion incidents have been documented across Iranian military branches since Operation Epic Fury began on February 28, 2026. Basij commanders are staging their own theatrical deaths, leaving their phones in rubble so the regime assumes they are dead. Artesh soldiers are deserting to nearby towns with as few as 10–20 bullets each. An Iranian naval crew surrendered to Sri Lankan authorities. Prison guards at Evin Prison walked off the job. Reserve mobilization has largely failed.
The regime's most powerful weapon is not its guns. It is silence. Cut communication and each doubter believes he is the only one. Restore communication and the cascade begins.
I have built a page with two tools to restore that communication — one for anyone with any internet access at all, and one that works with no internet whatsoever, using only Bluetooth between nearby phones.

If You Have Any Internet Access Right Now
Open your browser and go to https://web.nymchat.app. No installation. No account. A temporary anonymous identity is generated automatically. Join channel tn — it covers Tehran and much of Iran. You are immediately connected to a live encrypted network that is also accessible from BitChat phones inside Iran. I am posting there actively. A live relay node has been confirmed inside Iran as of this morning.
If Internet Is Cut — BitChat Bluetooth Mesh
BitChat is a free Android app created by Jack Dorsey. It creates an encrypted mesh network between nearby phones using Bluetooth — no internet, no servers, no accounts, nothing to block. Messages hop phone to phone across a neighborhood. The more phones running it, the stronger the mesh.
It has worked before. 70,000 downloads in Madagascar in one week during civil unrest. 50,000 in Nepal in a single day during protests. Downloads rising inside Iran right now.
The APK is hosted directly here for anyone who cannot reach GitHub:

If You Are Iranian Diaspora
You are the bridge. Send the APK directly via Telegram, WhatsApp, or Signal — all three pass APK files without blocking. Gmail does not. If your contact has any internet access, send them the page link. If not, send the file. Every phone that receives BitChat can pass it to the next phone over Bluetooth, with no internet required ever again.
The Defection Log
The full page includes a running log of 13 confirmed defection and desertion events, most recent first, with dates and sources. It will be updated as events develop. We are part of the relay.
Forward each of these events as far as you can. Every person who learns that defections are happening is one more person who may act. This is how you create the avalanche.
